Temple Tales

I think I will slowly build a collection of temple-related silhouettes. Not that I'm religious or anything, but rather fascinated by temples, especially old ones.
This one is the 'mandapam' right outside the Bhagavathi Amman Temple in Kanyakumari. I wish the man hadn't been sitting there! But that's what photography is about, I guess.

Well, I like the photo with the man in it. It kind of adds contrast - some dynamism to the otherwise static structure, as well as scale. Now, if only he was wearing a dhoti instead... Nice shot.

the mandapam is called the 16-pillar mandapam. it would have been nice if u had gotten all 16, but i dont know if that is possible.
